DR NEHAL SHAH (P.T.)

22 years of teaching experience with more than 17 years in SBB College of Physiotherapy. Incharge Principal of the College since 2016. Post Graduate teacher in Orthopedic Physiotherapy since 2006 and a PhD Guide since 2015.
Certified EMG/NCV practitioner and trainer from American Academy of Clinical Electrodiagnosis, USA since 2014.The academy is accredited by APTA. The only Physiotherapist in Gujarat who has achieved this
Team member and co-investigator for a research project “Rehabilitation Prescription Allowing Injury Recovery (RePAIR) in collaboration of Government of India and National Trauma Research Institute, Australia. The project carried out in India by Australia – India Trauma System Collaboration (www.aitsc.org)
Visiting places across the country as a Guest speaker in a number of conferences and conducted many seminars and workshops. Has been a resource person in atleast 50 Seminars, Conferences and Workshops till date
Many National and International Publications so far. She has been a reviewer in Journals indexed by Elsevier.

DR KOMAL SHAH (P.T.)

Clinical Physiotherapist at Physiotherapy Department, V.S.Hospital since 1997 Clinical Physiotherapist at SBB College of Physiotherapy from 1999 till date Has attended various Seminars and Workshops pertaining to Orthopedic Physiotherapy Has a vast clinical experience which enables evidence based patient care

DR KETAN PANDYA (P.T.)

He is working as Lecturer in SBB College of Physiotherapy since Dec.’”2006.
He works in Orthopaedic,Electrotherapy Physiotherapy department.
He has 15 years of experience with specific interests in Movement Analysis, Gait, Bio-Mechanics and Kinesiology, Ex-Physiology and Sports Physiotherapy.
He has been invited as speaker in
CONOR- International Conference in Orthopaedic conditions organized by SBB college of physiotherapy, V.S Hospital, Ahmedabad.

He is a tri athlete and currently working on performance enhancing body postures and movements in cycling, swimming and running.

DR NIPA SHAH (P.T.)

She is a Post graduate teacher in Masters of Sports Physiotherapy since April 2018. She is working as lecturer in SBB College of physiotherapy. She has joined SBB College in 2005 as junior lecturer and promoted as lecturer in 2012. She has passed M.P.T in Musculoskeletal condition in 2012.
She works in orthopaedic and electrotherapy departments in SBB College of Physiotherapy, where she evaluates and treats all orthopaedic patients She is having 13 years of teaching experience with specific interest in biomechanics and kinesiology and physiotherapy in orthopaedic and sports conditions.
She is certified Manual Therapy Practitioner (Cyriax, Maitland, Mc kenzie) by MTFI. She has also completed Mulligan’s concept course by Capri Institute of Manual Therapy. She has done many other certified courses of Muscle energy techniques (MET), Myofascial release (MFR) and Taping techniques. She is certified Aerobics fitness instructor from IAFT ( Indian academy of fitness training) . She has published paper in international journal of therapies and Rehabilitation Research in 2015. She has delivered a scientific lecture in knee panel discussion at “CONOR – 2013” International Conference in Orthopaedic conditions by SBB College of Physiotherapy, V.S Hospital, Ahmedabad.

DR BINAL GAJJAR (P.T.)

She is working SBB College of physiotherapy since last 10 years and as a capacity of a lecturer since 2016. She has keen interest in Orthopedic Rehabilitation and has attended various seminars and workshops pertaining to Joint Mobilizations and Neurodynamics. She has also done a certificate course on Research methodology from Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar. She is a site Investigator for the multicentric research “Rehabilitation Prescription Allowing Injury Recovery (RePAIR) project by Australia India Trauma Systems Collaboration (AITSC).
She has participated in WHO Trauma Quality Improvement Workshop by AITSC, National Disaster Preparedness Course for Hospitals by Acadamy of Traumatology India and British Council, Basic Course Workshop in Medical Education Technologies by Medical Council Of India and attended many other seminars to update herself.
She is also involved in the training for the physiotherapist for RePAIR project implementation at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital (RGGGH) in Chennai.
She has also worked on the rehabilitation task force for the INGO, Handicap International.She has completed “Course for Project Manager on Current Trends in Community Based Rehabilitation(CBR)” at Mobility India, Banglore and has written a chapter on CBR in book “Managing disability – a reference manual for rehabilitation professionals of India” published online. She is actively involved as a resource person in the training of medical
officers for sensitisation and disability inclusion programs in rehabilitation departments across Gujarat.

DR RAJENDRA MODIYA (P.T.)

He is working as a Junior Lecturer in Physiotherapy since October, 2009 MBA With specialization in Healthcare Management-A grade: Indian school of Business Management & Administration. 13th Jan 2009
Has attended various CMEs and Workshops on Orthopedic Physiotherapy Has presented research posters in various conferences Self trained Marathon Runner for Half and Full Marathon, Ultra Marathon, Trailed Running(Podium Finisher), Cycling, Duathlon

DEPARTMENT OF NEUROPHYSIOTHERAPY

DR SHRADDHA DIWAN (P.T.)

She has a total of 17 years of teaching experience after her graduation. She pursued Masters in physiotherapy in 2008 after which she is a postgraduate teacher in Physiotherapy in Neurology. She has completed her Ph D from Gujarat University and is a PhD guide in Physiotherapy since 2017.
She is appointed as an Inspector for Gujarat State Council for Physiotherapists & member of Institutional Ethics Committee of SBB College of Physiotherapy. She is a Life Member of Indian Academy of Cerebral Palsy & plays active role in organizing conferences & CMEs in the field of pediatric physiotherapy. She has been speaker for various topics related to pediatric physiotherapy at state & national level conferences.
She has been working as a speaker in various public awareness programs organized for parents & teachers of children with special needs. Her academic profile is shining by her attendance in various seminars and workshops. She has updated her profile by doing various CMEs related to Research Methodology, Teachers training , Modern strategies in assessment & Management of Pediatric Physiotherapy. She is actively involved in International Research Projects for translating & validating more than three questionnaires into Gujarati language. She has published more than 20 papers in various national and international journals

DR ZARNA SHAH (P.T.)

She is working as a junior lecturer in SBB college of Physiotherapy since May 2012She specializes in Pediatric and Adult Neuro physiotherapy. She has a total of 9 years of teaching experience post PG. She completed her PhD in 2017. She has published 7 papers in national and international journals till date.
She has attended many national conferences. She has also been in the organising committee in many state level and national conferences.
She is also working as a Vice President of Gujarat state Council for Physiotherapists (GSCPT) and as a Vice Chairman of Board of Academics of GSCPT.

DEPARTMENT OF REHABILITATION

DR MEGHA SHETH (P.T.)

She is a Lecturer in Physiotherapy and has over 17 years of teaching experience.She has done her graduation in physical therapy from KEM Hospital, Mumbai in 1989, and her post-graduation in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation from SBB college of Physiotherapy in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.
She also holds a DNHE from IGNOU. She is a post graduate and Ph.D. guide, for the Gujarat University. She is a member of Ethics Committee of few colleges in Gujarat. She is an International Health professional from India in Post-Polio Health International’s post-polio directory, since June 2014. She has co-authored a book, Effect of Lifestyle modifications and exercises on fatigue in subjects with Post-Polio Syndrome.
She has attended and been a speaker at many conferences, national and international with paper presentations. She has over 75 publications to her name. She has conducted many workshops and seminars on Research in Physiotherapy and topics related to orthopaedic rehabilitation.
She manages the rehabilitation of Geriatric population with musculoskeletal problems and pain. She has written a chapter in the book Community Based rehabilitation.

DR PAYAL GAHLOT (P.T.)

Dr Payal P. Gahlot, lecturer at SBB College of physiotherapy, has completed her Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy from K.M. Patel institute of Physiotherapy, Karamsad Sardar Patel University in 2005 and Masters in Rehabilitation from SBB College, Ahmedabad ,Gujarat University with a Gold Medal in 2011.
She has also done one publication in an international journal (International Journal of Therapies and Rehabilitation Research) in 2015.
She is a certified Antenatal-Postnatal instructor and Aerobics instructor from IAFT (Indian academy of fitness training). She has done certificate courses in Maitland and Mulligan manual Therapy techniques. She has completed a certificate course in Medical Teachers Training conducted at NHL Medical College.
She is also a Post Graduate guide from 2015. She mainly looks after Rehabilitation department with her special interest in Women’s Health.

DEPARTMENT OF CARDIO-RESPIRATORY PHYSIOTHERAPY

DR SWEETY SHAH (P.T.)

She is working at SBB College of Physiotherapy since 2002. Presently she is working in the capacity of Lecturer in Physiotherapy. She pursued her Masters in Physiotherapy in 2007 and PhD in Physiotherapy in 2013. She is a Post graduate teacher in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy and a PhD guide for Physiotherapy. She has attended various National Conferences and has published research papers.

DR HARITA VYAS (P.T.)

She is working as a lecturer in SBB College of physiotherapy since December 2006. She works in cardio-pulmonary department OPD as well as sees the patients in ICU’S and wards of the hospital. She has 16 years of teaching experience.
In this period she has attended various conferences, seminars, and workshops She has completed her M.P.T in cardio-pulmonary in 2011. She is P.G. guide since 2015. She has done BLS –Basic life support course-American Heart Association by Academy of Traumatology, India.
She has published 5 articles in national and international journals till date. She is a member of Institutional ethics committee of the college as an expert of cardio-pulmonary subject

DR DIPMALA SILAJIYA (P.T.)

She is working as a Junior Lecturer since 2012. She has Master Degree in Physiotherapy in Cardio pulmonary conditions. She has 15 years of clinical experience in this field.
(Pre operative and post operative cardio and pulmonary conditions, vascular conditions, critical care unit, ICU management, Fitness, weight reduction etc.) She took training at Amruta Institute, Cochin for physiotherapy in Adult and pediatric cardiopulmonary conditions and procedures for 15 days. She has attended various National and International Conferences and various Seminars and Workshops
